Chinese Blue and White 17th Century Porcelain Jar

Transitional Chinese 17th century blue and white porcelain baluster jar made during the reign of the Emperor Shunzhi at the start of the Qing Dynasty c1650 at the kilns at Jingdezhen.
Excellent painting in under glaze blue of scrolling lotus flowers and foliage. The blue is the beautiful muted blue
The neck is painted with lappets or flames and the rim has an under glaze brown edge as is typical of the period
Impressive jar excellent shape and form
Made for export as well as Chinese own market.

perfect but a slight off potting to the neck when it was fired
