Kangxi Blue and White Bowl

Chinese early 18th century blue and white bowl with everted rim in the klapmuts style, made during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi at the kilns at Jingdezhen.
Painted to the sides with scrolling flowering lotus in the traditional style of flowers amongst foliage. painted to the centre with large flower head
The lotus being an important part of chinese folk lore being associated with purity as it is seen as growing out mud and being pure and white. the buddhist hold the flower in respect as it represents peace.
The bowl is well potted and very well painted
